3. & 4. Best Wind Turbine : 500 kW to 1 MW and Above 1 MW
(1st prize only )
The Best Turbine of the Year 2006-07 and 2007-08 Award is being
instituted with the intention of bestowing public recognition on those wind
turbine manufacturers with the most efficiently performing wind turbine at any
location in India.
Qualifying Criteria

Turbine
rating 500 KW – 1 MW introduced in the Indian market after 1 April
2005, (FY 2005-06): One award.

Turbine
rating above 1 MW introduced in the Indian market after 1st
April 2005, (FY 2005-06): One award.

Turbine
must have been operational at any location in India during the FY 2006-07 and
2007-08 with operational data available. Turbine must have been commissioned
in FY 2005-06 or 2006-07.

For
a model to be eligible for award nomination, at least 25 machines of that
model (as per the applicable technical specifications) must have been
commissioned and operational by 31 March 2007.

WTG
manufacturing organizations with turbines in both ratings ranges (500 kW to 1
MW, and >1 MW) are eligible to apply for both awards. However, only one
turbine representing a model will be awarded in each category.
