8.   Best Public Sector Entrant /Investor in Wind Power - (1st prize only)

The Best Public Sector Entrant in Wind Power during 2006-07 and 2007-08 award is being instituted to accord recognition to the PSU with the largest commissioned wind power capacity in the years 2006-07 and 2007-08. The Awards Jury will take a decision based on information provided by the concerned PSUs.

Qualifying Criteria

• All PSUs (Central Sector) with commissioned wind power capacity as on 31 March 2007 and 2008.  (Annual and Cumulative addition)

• All PSUs (State Sector) with commissioned wind power capacity as on 31 March 2007 and 2008.  (Annual and Cumulative addition)

• Minimum 5 MW should have been installed during 2006-2008
