9.   Best Wind Power IPP/Utility  (1st prize only)

The Best Private Sector Company in Wind Power Project development during 2006-07, and 2007-08 Award is being instituted to accord recognition to the large IPP or private utilities with the largest commissioned wind power capacity in the FYs 2006-07 and 2007-08. The Awards Jury will take a decision based on information provided by the concerned organizations.

Qualifying Criteria

·    All private sector companies that have invested in wind power projects as Independent Power Producers (IPPs), selling power to state utilities, captive power consumers or selling to third parties in any state of India.
 

·    Projects commissioned during 1 April 2006 - 31 March 2007 and 1 April 2007 - 31 March 2008.
 

·    Cumulative capacity commissioned during FY 2006-07 and 2007-08 to be considered.
 

·    Minimum 10 MW installed during 2006-2008.
