The first 'WIND INDIA' event was launched by WISE in 2006. Following its resounding success, WISE decided to hold
the event on a biennial basis. With the advent of 2008, WISE
is proud to announce the second conference-cum-exhibition on
wind power, 'WIND INDIA 2008'. The event will be held at the
Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, on 25–26 November 2008.
Globally, wind power is growing at a record rate of
more than 26% per annum. As per projections made by
the Global Wind Energy Council, more than 150 GW
capacity is expected to be added to the existing 100
GW installed capacity within the next 5 years.
